Folk/Americana Album of the Year! Posted on May 30, 2007 2:52 PM

| its what it says above folks, my first album, "Dusk Came Slow", was nominated at the MAMAs (Madison Area Music Awards) for "Folk/Americana Album of the Year" and it won! Congrats to all of the nominees and winners, and especially Rick Tvedt for putting on such a great show and organization (which once again saved Madison's schools string program this year!). The show last night was very well run and I enjoyed it through and through! Thanks to all of you who logged on to vote for me, and everyone should check out www.themamas.org to see all of the winners and learn more about the organization!
| House Concerts Posted on January 30, 2007 3:20 PM

| house concerts Hey everyone, I'm booking shows for 2007 and I'm looking for people who would be willing to host house concerts! Send me a message if you're interested! (and thanks to the amazing Jana Holland for the great idea, you can check her out at: http://myspace.com/janaholland) WHAT is a house concert? A house concert is a chance to experience music in a warm and intimate environment. It's when someone opens up their home and invites you into their living room or backyard to share in a performance by one of their favorite musicians. A house concert is also a great social evening of friends and neighbors. Shows are can be held at anytime that suits the host and performer. If the weather is good the concert can be held outside in the backyard. usually, the guests are asked to arrive 1/2 hour before the concert will begin and there is usually a 15-20 min. intermission between sets. 10 guest minimum. This is a private party. This party is NOT for business nor is it... Read more »

| Review from 2 girls at an open mic Posted on March 17, 2005 3:53 PM

| (The following review was written on a napkin and handed to me by a bar employee at a Cheeseburger In Paradise restaraunt in Madison, WI) "Kind of a mannish Tracy Chapman with a twist of Dave Matthews. Type of music you could listen to doing anything (this is a good comment)." - Jenny "Reliable voice that we know isn't going to hurt my ears at any moment. Pretty hot!." - Alyssa "Welcome to Hollywood, please don't be offended - best intentions :)" (Editor's note: I DO NOT sound like Dave Matthews, all the same, I appreciate the, er, review) (Editor's note: Upon actually talking with the girls they told me it would be good "post-sex" music.) |
