History/Biography
SHERRY RUBBER founding member and sole songwriter of Seattle's infamous punk band RUBBER and founding member, songwriter for L.A.'s RAW FLOWER hooked up with PATRICK MATA of the legendary band KOMMUNITY FK and SATIVA LUV BOX to form a spin-off band. The two wrote 23 songs within their first session....Hence TEXYLVANIA was born!
The music is phenomenal. The live shows are unforgettable. The fan base of TEXYLVANIA grows stronger every week.
Texylvania has headlined every live show they have ever performed. After their first show Chicago based record company Invisible Records invited Texylvania to be a part of their tribute album to Johnny Cash entitled ‘Cash to Chaos'. Texylvania generated so much worldwide praise from this release that Invisible Records placed Texylvania on their newest release titled ‘Mutations,' an Alice Cooper tribute cd. Not only are Texylvania doing well musically on Invisible Records, CEO Martin Atkins (Ministry, Killing Joke, and Pigface fame), has licensed Patrik's artwork for album covers for other artists signed to the label. Soon after these two releases Cleopatra Records came a-calling asking Texylvania to please participate in their tribute album for the Elvis Presley tribute album ‘The Dark Elvis'. Wes Beech, composer and guitarist for the legendary band The Plasmatics discovered Sherry's vocal talents through Texylvania's previously owned and operated MP3.com site and immediately asked Texylvania to please cover two Plasmatics songs for his Plasmatic tribute release. Texylvania keeps all doors open at all times. The band recently released their super smash single ‘You're Not Very-Mary' on their own. This single sold out in every store it was consigned to on the West Coast.
Texylvania has also recently released their own full-length album which will be for sale through their brand new upcoming official website which is now under reconstruction. Texylvania's most recent recording of their newest masterpiece "See How You Are" will be their new single. The song-
writing team of Patrik and Sherry are very happy with this latest recording, and promise it to be the best yet. Texylvania are heading back to the studio yet again for the recording of 2 new five-song eps that will be made ready towards an artistic deal with yet another top label, as well as recording their new DIY 13 song LP for Fall 2005 release entitled, "TEXYLVANIA 13."
If you have never seen Texylvania live it is highly recommended that you do so. Texylvania generates tons of energy during every set. Sherry and Patrik trade off the duties of lead vocals and guitar half way through the show (it is as if you get two bands in one). The Tex-ettes (Texylvania's sexy go-go dancers) groove and grind to the hooks that are Texylvania within the midst of rolling fog/smoke machines, audience members shoot off cans of Silly String while singing along with every song, Patrik does his infamous blood tricks, while tons of T-shirts, stickers, buttons and CD's are given out during the whole show. Great fun.

Texylvania are now searching for a new rhythm section consisting of both a kickass, loudass bass player as well as a much-needed equally kickass drummer extraordanaire. Both must have the looks necessary for Texylvania
