Brief Description A deliciously different band that rocks, with music that shatters the audio realm, and words that promote the truth. We are a band like no other, and our songs appeal to anyone who wants to hear something new and meaningful.
History/Biography Birth and history: The band began in Tucson, Arizona, in 2001, playing and recording unrehearsed songs. We made a lousy compact disc with 14 songs which were very silly and performed poorly. Our original band was named The Consecrated, which included the company of 3 ex-members, but the only ones to survive the band's struggle to live out its dream to play songs for fun and commit to being who we stood for, were Ray and Joey. We then killed the band name because it was taken by some European band.
Style and sound: The type of music we call our own can be classified as being a simple complexity of syncopated tones entwined with an electrifying energy and an ocean of emotion. But we are not an emo band. Most emo bands only know one emotion- sorrow. Our music isn't consumed by sadness, but a blend of feelings from joy to disgust. Our music isn't meant to be just noise, but something that your mind can soak up and get something out of. Our sound has no genre, but if you need to water us down we have an unusual concoction of rock and roll, punk, new wave, indie, post-punk, garage rock, experimental, avant-garde, and neo-retro. Our music can be soft or pounding, classical or classic rock, acoustic or electrifying.
Our feelings about our music in society: We are what you could call a Christian band. We are a band in the sense that we are a group of musicians, and we are Christians because of the fact that we have a relationship with God. We are not Catholic, Jewish, or Reformed United blah blah blah. We are non-denominational (no special brand of Christianity) and anti-religion (against the lifestyle where customs/laws/actions are more important than God himself). Since we are a Christian band, one might think we ONLY play for Christians- on the contrary. We make music for God, sinners, Christians, Satanists, ourselves, and anything with ears. We are not out to force you to believe in Christianity, but to show why we do what we do. Our sound is geared for an audience of diversity to unite the world to promote a notion that no matter how different we are, the truth is never changing. |
