The set opens up with Land of Broken Dreams, a great toe tapper!! Then theres a track called Tip Toe which is truly rocking... Kiwi delivers a strong vocal performance and Christer Sosa (Drums) lays a funky beat down and the band is straight up in the pocket!! This is an excellent track and one of my favorites. Two more jammin' tracks, Man & Wife & Won't somebody Hit Me. Look, if you can't groove to these two tracks, don't bother checking for a pulse, you're already dead! Bass line in Man & Wife, Love it!! The horns in the begining of Won't Somebody Hit Me are awesome throughout the track... Smooth edgey vocal from Kiwi with a clever vocal arrangement. Reminds me of the Average White Band, some really funky Jazz licks! Then theres Mia... My favorite of the bunch... I have one word fro you on this one... Sting... Don't get me wrong, Kiwi does his own thing on the track, but it reminds me of something Sting would have done. Excellent track and overall an excellent CD. If I had to say one thing that was wrong with the CD it would be that the last track, Tip End (And the Band Played On) is simply too short!! This track is FUNKY! FUNKY! FUNKY! It revisits the aforementioned Tip Toe with more horns, more soul, more Kiwi!! What a treat!! Looking forward to hearing more from this artist in the near future. Peace, Ricardo AKA.
