Latest Great Reviews
Posted on November 1, 2009 10:16 PM

Hi All

We've been getting a whole range of new reviews for our latest release Disrepair Part Two – The Pleasure Fled", so I thought I'd share a few with you all. Here's just a portion of what is being said. I guess the underlying theme to most of the reviews is the emphasis on our originality and uniqueness, which is fine by me.

"The truth is that the sound of Mechanical Organic continues, even in this new form, to stand to the upper levels of uniqueness." Metal Perspective

"It's so beautiful, complex and diverse and it has such a variety of tunes and themes that time flows without realizing... you just feel compelled to push the play button again." Behind The Veil

"For anyone who wants "something different" they may just find it here in this Progressive, almost Avantgarde metal release. " Metal... Read more »

Mechanical Organic - The Pleasure Fled
Posted on September 24, 2009 8:17 AM

I'm proud to announce the release of Mechanical Organic's third album/EP "Disrepair Part Two – The Pleasure Fled" containing the monstrous 17 minute epic "Into the Fangs of Lunacy". This one track contains some of our most unique writing and we're very proud of the musical content, vocal themes and lyrics. During the writing process we came to the realization that we have the ability to release music in whatever format, length and quantity we like. We have decided to concentrate on releasing longer epic style songs rather than your more traditional style album containing ten tracks. "Disrepair Part Two – The Pleasure Fled" is the beginning of this new found philosophy and we hope to release more music in this format within the year of 2009 and beyond. We hope to further the conceptual range of the political/conspiratorial "Disrepair" series with many more such releases.
Our sound on this release is a strange musical blend of Heavy, Electronic, Ambient, Progressive, Political and... Read more »

Album Update
Posted on June 25, 2009 6:16 PM

The mixing process for the new Mechanical Organic release "Into the Fangs of Lunacy" is finally fully compete. Mastering has been books so we should have the finished product in a couple of weeks. I'm so pleased with the way the recording sounds. I really think this is our best effort so far and I can't wait for you all to hear it. I'm really proud of this release and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the two contributing musicians who made this recording what it is today. Firstly Conrad, this man has personally shaped the Mechanical Organic sound by delivered one of his most melodic efforts yet. Conrad knows exactly what my music needs in terms of heavy and melodic guitar work, and I'm so glad he's back. He's meticulous, and really takes the time to develop a unique approach to each individual track, and this song is no exception. His guitar work is nothing short of perfection, it's heavy and melodic and it fits the Mech Org sound like a glove.
And secondly, Evan,... Read more »

Personal and Musical Update
Posted on March 10, 2009 6:50 PM

Ok, here's a nice long update summarising what's been going on in my personal life as well as the musical world of Mechanical Organic. Firstly on a personal note, I've been swamped with all things family, work related and household chores and projects. I never thought that having a baby would be this time consuming, my life is completely upside down but in a good way. The demand on my time is constant and the push and pull of work and family life is an ongoing struggle. For a while I was wondering whether music and family life could coexist but I'm happy to say that I've finally found a balance that is manageable. It took us some time to find a routine where we each had a bit of space and free time to ourselves and we've realised that this is essential to our sanity. I now have some allocated time where I can do the things that are important to me and my wife has the same. We still need to rush around and really get stuck into whatever we are doing in order to finish but at... Read more »

New Video Clip, Album Release and I'm a Father
Posted on February 3, 2008 7:13 PM

Video Clip - The new Mechanical Organic video clip is now finished, the songs is taken from the new album "Disrepair Part One – Permafrost Dreams" and is title "Mechanical Dreams". I've been working on the clip on and off for a number of months and I finally found the time to hammer it into shape last weekend. I'm really please with it's content and the way it turn out. It's kind of dark and industrial looking which suits the subject matter perfectly. I will be uploading the clip very soon so keep an eye out for it on various hosting sites. I will also upload the clip to the Mech Org website as well. More details soon.

Album Release Date – The new Mech Org album "Disrepair Part One – Permafrost Dreams" is ready for release. I'm hoping to officially release the album later this month. It was actually ready to ship late last year but I held it back due to the Christmas period, I didn't think it was the best time to release music. I also was struggling for time due to the... Release Update
Posted on November 1, 2007 6:34 PM

I'm still scraping together all the different elements for the release of the new album. The promo CD's have been manufactured. I'm currently working on getting quotes for the printing of the DVD covers. The cover art is fully designed and looks great. The promo press kit/bio is also complete and set for printing so it's just a matter of time before everything is ready to roll.
As soon as the Promo CD is ready to ship I will be uploading the new Mech Org website. It is still a little early to predict an official release date for the new album but I'm working towards a late November release. I need to do a lot of work to finalise everything but most of the release elements are now falling into place.
I really can't wait to get this thing out. I gave the whole album another listen and overall I'm very happy with the way it turned out. There are always a few things I whish I could fix, a few little bass guitar melodies got slightly buries after mastering which I would have... Read more »

Release Update
Posted on October 15, 2007 6:42 PM

Yesterday I received a spanking new Master and reference discs in the mail. Well, I didn't find them till this morning. Yesterday morning I went and had a look in the mail box because I had a feeling the discs would arrive but I must have looked a little too early. As I was leaving for work today, there they were. I didn't even think to check the mail box again in the afternoon. I was really wrapped up in working on the new Pathway to Perception CD and it completely slipped my mind. It was probably for the best because I would have spent most of the day listening to the new reference disc and encoding and tagging all the digital files for release. I guess that's what I'll be doing tonight! I will post my thoughts in a couple of days when I've had a chance digest it.
I've been keeping myself busy lately preparing for the release of the new album. The website is just about finished. I've just put the finishing touches to my new online store which will contain all the... Read more »

All Coming Together
Posted on October 3, 2007 6:19 PM

At the moment I'm really exited about releasing the new Mech Org Album. The new website has really come together, including a new design as well as a new internet store. The album artwork has been completed. And the new promo CD pack, artwork and bio (which will be sent out for promotion and review) have also been completed. I also just got word that the pre-master disc has arrived at the mastering suite so everything is set for a late 2007 release. At the moment things are moving ahead with great speed and optimism and I'm really enjoying the journey. It really is refreshing to be able to work at my own pace for once and not be reliant on anyone else. Being a one man band has it's drawbacks such as self doubt and musical isolation, but it also has it's advantages, and at the moment I couldn't be happier moving forward on my own.

With regards to the existing Mech Org website, I have taken down the guest book and forum. Over the past couple of month the increase in spam posting... Read more »

Mixing Is Complete - Finally!
Posted on October 1, 2007 7:51 PM

I spent a very big day in the studio yesterday finalising the mix and I'm happy to announce that the mixing process is over. To make sure that it really is 100% over I packaged up the pre-master CD and put it in the mail to Fox Audio Mastering this morning. Yesterdays effort was more about listening and making small adjustments rather than major mixing changes. Nothing was altered drastically, however I was able tighten up a few loose ends and make a few minor level changes. All the tracks were then bounced down to a single stereo wave files ready for mastering. I double checked all tracks for consistency and errors and everything seems to be perfect.
As I stated in my last update Mastering is booked for Monday the 8th of October so the CD should arrive with plenty of time to spare.

Over the weekend I was also able to spend some time on the new Mech Org website. The new site should be ready to launch around the same time the CD is mastered. Everything seems to be... Read more »
