History/Biography
A tough scrappy bad-ass on the outside, Steve is nothing but a softie at heart, not ever inconvenienced by the responsibilities of raising a teenager and a pre-teen. During the daylight hours, he devotes his time to his family, but when the night rolls around, Steve's alter-ego arrives in full force when he hits the streets of Austin armed with his guitar.
Equally dynamic in the acoustic singer-songwriter setting and in the electric arena, Syx never fails to win over the hearts of his audience.
Steve emanates strong vibes, with his quick wit, easy smile and approachability. Passionate and determined, his inner strength is apparent in the songs he writes. He lives his life through his music, offering up songs about one man's journey that we can all relate to our own lives in one way or another.
The debut CD "Finding MySelf HERE" brings together many styles and is filled with songs that span Syx's growing years playing in clubs, bars and even backyards. Taking elements from Rock, Pop, Soul, Blues and the gritty voice of a southern fried hero, he gives you his soul on a piece of plastic.
