| This is Phil. It's 5:56am right now and I'm pretty much bored as hell. I haven't played drums since New Year's Eve. I want to record songs right now but we recorded everything already, and then there's the small issue of Dave being in another state and Josh at a different school, and me having no place to put drums. They would barely fit in my room and I'm not sure I'd be allowed to play drums in my dorm room. That would be awesome though and then everybody would think I'm cool just cause I know how to play a musical instrument and everybody can hear it. I mean, that's what I think when I hear somebody in my building playing their $110 strat copy through a 10 watt practice amp. With the gain at 10 cause the more distortion you play with the cooler you are. I mean, I think those guys are cool. There's somebody in my building who knows how to play Crazy Train. He's cool. I should ask him to be in a band with me, cause he's probably really good. He can play Crazy Train and... Read more »

| Hey everyone, File And Forget here. We wanna thank everybody who came out to the Lake Cable Clubhouse on Thursday the 28th, the show was awesome and we had a great time playing. Thanks to Matt Clark and My Band for setting up the show and thanks to all you guys for supporting your local high school bands. We plan on recording several more original songs, including "Next Thing I Know", "Each Day", "Faded", and probably our cover of "I'm Eighteen". Hopefully we can get those out to you guys on a cd soon. Keep checkin' back for our next show, possibly on May 28th at Lake High School. Keep rockin'!

| Hey everybody, its the guys from F&F again. We're gonna be playing down at the Palace Theatre this Saturday for the Repository's 2nd Annual Battle of the Bands. A record crowd (over 1000) is predicted to be in attendance! We'll be playing a short 10 minute set featuring both our new hard-and-heavy Alice Cooper remake with "I'm Eighteen" followed by our very own original, "Live A Lie" off our first release entitled "The Tribute EP". Tickets are on sale for $5 presale at the Palace until Saturday and will be sold prior to the concert the day of. Tickets are expected to sell out so either getting to the Theatre early or stopping by the Palace beforehand would prolly be a great idea. We'd like to ask all of our loyal fans to come and support us, make signs, make T-shirts, scream, whatever it takes, we promise to put on an electrifying, high-energy rock show for you guys. That's Saturday Jan. 29, at 7:00! Thanks so much for all that's been there through it all and we hope to see... Read more »
| Meet the Contenders Posted on January 22, 2005 9:07 PM

| While File And Forget has "quite an arsenal of covers up our sleeve" drummer Phil Eitzman says, the band much prefers playing original songs. "It's more satisfying to get a crowd response from an original," bassist Johnny Dilworth says. "It's just a good feeling to have your own stuff," says guitarist Josh Kumpf. When playing their own songs, the band members - all eighteen-year-old Jackson High seniors - "can go off on tangents," vocalist-guitarist Dave Paola says. "We've been playing together long enough we can feel what the other one is going to do next," Kumpf says. File And Forget's songwriting is showcased on a five-song EP titled "The Tribute". Asked about File And Forget's early live shows, the guys roll their eyes in unison. With amusement they recount their debut performance at a band battle, which included a rendition of Relient K's "Sadie Hawkins Dance." "We were so outclassed, the other bands were so good," Kumpf says sheepishly. "We got sympathy applause,"... Read more » |
