For The Darkness Posted on December 27, 2008 4:25 PM

| Greetings and hails for supporting the purveyors of the 63 current; speakers of the flame. We introduce to your cabal our new EP: For the Darkness, a compilation of singles throughout the last three years, all digitally re-mastered and available on iTunes. Those wishing material fetters need simply contact our ilk and request and a hand-made copy (with extras) will be sent for $8 (world shipping paid). Delve into the beast that is the self: evoke the fire within. May your will align the stars about for the darkness: This is Power Noize on par with bands like MZ.412, Grunt or Brighter Death Now merged with the controlled chaos of Krieg, the drone of SunnO))) and the BlackAmbient textures of Lurker Of Chalice. After 3 years Church ov Melkarth return with a brand new digital release to challenge your perceptions. Church ov Melkarth create music in a way many people have never had the opportunity to experience. 'For The Darkness' continues the trend from CovM of no compromise that began with their first release on KillZone Records back in 2005 called 'The Sermon of Hate'. Although these are much shorter pieces they still command the listener to pay full attention, creating strange and unsettling atmospheres that make you feel like something is trying to break through from the other side. The album high point has to be an adaptation of HP Lovecraft's 'The Terrible Old Man' 16 plus minutes of pulsing, cold drone with maniacal, warped vocals that permeate the subconscious. Church ov Melkarth is not for those looking an easy time in their listening and is truly a creation that is very unique
