About Myself
Inspired by club , and rave DJs Ray took up DJing in 1989 , he started playing parties for audiences that same year in the S.F. rave scene. After spinning raves for a couple years Ray started his first company providing sound reinforcement for various S.F. parties. He moved it all up to Oregon in 1992 where he promoted , Dj, and produced events in Eugene and Portland. He came back to California in 95 and gave up public appearances for studio production. After several years in the studio Ray began to DJ , and perform live music compositions publicly again in 98 . He continues to perform under the pseudonyms DJ Ray , The Mobius , and his latest techno project Viscous. Ray uses Ableton Live and MS Pinky's Maxi Patch . A typical DJ Ray show will include a mix of live and prerecorded music , scratching , and beat juggling over home made break beats at a fest 120-135 bpm , seamless beat matching with home made visuals. |
